Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not answered here, please email me at camilla@rubyjewelflowers.com.

Do you have a storefront where I can buy flowers?

No, unfortunately I do not have a storefront. When available and in season, they can be purchased at Persnikkity’s Sweet Confections. Or, you can make an order from the website and pick up from our home in Show Low.

Do you offer flowers that are ready to be picked up like at the grocery store?

Yes, and they can be purchased at Persnikkity’s Sweet Confections in Show Low.

How do I order flowers?

Go to the “Shop” section of the website to order the flowers you’d like.

Can I order specific flowers from you?

If they are in season, blooming and available, then of course! You can make special requests when you order and we’ll do our best to fulfil your request.

When I order flowers where do I pick them up?

My home, near Show Low City Park and the Show Low Safeway. Once you make an order through the website, I will email you with my address. Since this is my home, I don’t want to list my address on here and have people showing up like it’s a storefront or public park.

Do you deliver?

Yes, within the White Mountains. Delivery within Show Low city is $10, Pinetop-Lakeside is $20-$30, Vernon and Snowflake is $30, etc. Make sure to put “Delivery” into your cart when you order the flowers so I can deliver them for you.

How many stems come in each bouquet?

Ya know, it varies from bouquet to bouquet. Each size of bouquet is built on the value of flowers and not so much on the number of stems. The mini bouquet will have the fewest stems, the medium bouquet will have about double the amount of a mini, the large bouquet will have more, etc.

How long will the flowers last?

It depends on the type of flower. Some flowers last only 3-5 days while some flowers last 2+ weeks! Dahlias, cosmos, and icelandic poppies are the shortest lived while lisianthus, zinnias, and sunflowers last 10-14 days.

Can I do anything to help the flowers last their longest?

Yes! Change their water every day to every other day. Notice when the water turns murky—that’s when it needs changing, if not sooner. You can also trim the stems 1/2” every time you change the water so they can continue to absorb water. Use the flower food provided. After that is used up you can use a drop of bleach in the water to keep bacteria from growing. Bacteria growth on stems or in the vessel will shorten their life substantially. Lastly, start with a clean vessel and keep it clean.

What is a flower subscription?

A flower subscription is a pre-paid subscription for weekly or bi-weekly flowers that range from 4 weeks to 20 weeks. A full-season subscription is 20 weeks so those include flowers from early spring narcissus and tulips to dahlias and sunflowers in the late summer and fall. Other weekly flower subscriptions can be started at most anytime of the season as long as there are enough weeks left in the season. Flowers can be picked up at Camilla’s home (near the Show Low City Park) on Wednesdays

What if I can’t pick up my flowers one week of my subscription, can I pick them up another week?

For the sake of my sanity and not keeping track of everyone else’s schedule, no, I can’t offer that. If you are not able to pick up your flowers one week you can let a friend or family member to come pick up your flowers instead. Otherwise they will be donated to the senior center.

Can I come see the farm?

Unfortunately, we are not offering tours at this time.

Can I make my own bouquet?

I will be hosting Flower Bars where you can come arrange your own bouquet with pre-picked and and pre-conditioned flowers so they’re ready to go.
